Happy Holidays from Scattered Thoughtz

Thank you for all of your support this year. The short stories and posts have been few and far between. I was working on my first novel, All Falls Down, which is complete and for sale on Amazon. But most importantly, I welcomed my beautiful son into the world this August!

Pregnancy did not agree with me at all, so producing a ton of content was out of the question. But for those who have stuck around for the ride, I really appreciate it.

I will be starting a newsletter next year, and most updates about my future projects will come from there. There will be a link to sign up for the newsletter available on this site. I’m working diligently on a trilogy that should be out next year, and there are many more book ideas in the pipeline, so stay tuned!

As the year comes to a close, I hope everyone is safe, healthy, and in a good place. I hope that you find the time to reflect over this year and think about some changes you’d like to make for next year.

Here are some reflection points to get you started:

  • What were your greatest blessings this year?
  • What was the happiest surprise of this year?
  • What were some of your toughest challenges?
  • What stopped you from reaching your goals this year, and how can you combat that obstacle?
  • What changes do you want to make for your spiritual, mental, and emotional health? Can you schedule practical changes into your day/week?
  • What changes will you implement for your physical health? Can you schedule practical changes into your day/week?
  • Which relationships do you want to work on, and which ones are you holding onto against your better judgement?
  • What are your career goals for the coming year? For example, do you want to maintain your current position, get a promotion or pay increase? Do you want to find a position that is more suitable for you? Would you like to start or grow your own business? It may seem that everyone is shouting to “be your own boss” and “start your own business” these days, but that’s not realistic or even desirable for many people. What do YOU want to do?
  • What are your financial goals and what steps are you taking to get there? If you are trying to pay off debt, what does your payment plan look like? If the goal is saving, what amount are you committed to setting aside each month?
  • Do you have a self-care plan? How will you implement this throughout the week?
  • What will you do that’s just for fun? No work involved. No higher purpose to achieve. Just fun.
  • How can you remember to grant yourself forgiveness and grace through all of the ups and downs that are sure to come?

What personal reflection points can you add to the list?
